Synopsis

Soak. Drink. Thrist.

Between the lines of this project, we are absorbed by different narratives. They are selected and blurred by a color palette that reflects on the definition of belonging. Presenting themselves little by little.

Fiar o Entorno (Weave the surroundings) intends to explore the ability of feeling the emptiness of places, while rethinks the continuous transformation of the territory of southwest Alentejo, Portugal. Through a technique that, despite applying or changing the color of a fabric, becomes itself a process of revelation. It reveals the particularities of the place and the relationships woven between them, on a surface sensitized to receive this reality, rekindling the gestural memory of those who build from their surroundings.

Among this tangle of roots, memories and figures are buried. Here they are mapped, washed and exposed, to the light and to time, in a relationship of constant exchange with the surroundings that choose what remains and what fades away.

hat fades away.
